Work Package 1 is devoted to initiating the project. Deliverables include partner and stakeholder meetings.

Participants: All partners and representatives of user groups
Participants roles:
DDNI – Arrange & chair meetings, prepare minutes.
NIVA – Attend meetings, discuss research objectives and plan fieldwork
NTNU – Attend meetings, discuss research objectives and plan field activities
Duration: 3 months
Objectives: This initial WP will mobilise all participants and user groups on the general goal and sub-goals. It will seek to initiate a generic discussion about the framework for community-based sturgeon tourism. Local and high-level stakeholders will be brought together into appropriate steering committees and advisory boards. Activities and groups for collection of data and working with local communities will be launched.
Methodology: Project meeting, preparation of papers, presentation of project idea for user groups.
